Incredible Community Support for the Launch of the John Maxwell Leadership Series

Friday’s “John Maxwell Leadership Series – Leadershift” event brought together a collection of smart, eager to learn, attendees along with seasoned, ready to teach, speakers.

 

Hosted at Stevenson Ridge, and emceed by Fredericksburg Realtor, Sarah Hurst, the quarterly series kicked off with a bang.  Sitting safely distanced with a full house, each speaker brought a perspective on gaining skills that enable leadership shifts.

 

Capitalize Marketing & Consulting CEO, Gordon Duncan, shared his story of epilepsy and loss, emphasizing the need to do three things:

 

Asking For and Being Willing to Receive Help

Seeking Out Both Coaching and Mentorship

Becoming a Continual Self Learner

 

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center Marketing Director and Life Coach, Susan Coleman, emphasized:

 

Personal Integrity

The Advantage of Knowing Yourself

 

Chief Strategy Officer of IntelliBridge, Dom Lapore, shared his experiences from the Navy and in entrepreneurship.  He emphasized:

 

The Need for Systems

The Importance of Communicated Expectations

Accountability 

 

The takeaway was that, in uncertain times like right now, the leaders that persevere will be the leaders who make the shifts needed for their teams and themselves.
