Helping Your Client Has Got to be First and Foremost
Helping clients find what they need is as important as getting the contract – actually, it’s more important.
Recently, someone came to Capitalize via a referral (thanks!). They were asking about SEO services for their company. We happily manage SEO for our clients, but there was a challenge with this request.
Owning their company’s category in their area was going to be crazy expensive. Even if ranking number one or above the fold were possible, the money spent probably wouldn’t be worth it for their business.
So, we encouraged the client away from SEO. We instead offered a marketing coaching contract that would teach them how to manage Facebook/Google ads, repurpose their content, and expand their business’ footprint. This would be amazingly more cost effective, and they would leave the process smarter, wiser, and have more bucks in their pocket.
Helping your client with what they need is the first priority – not inking on the bottom line. Ultimately, when you gain a reputation for caring for your clients, the two will be the same.
