Facts Are Useless…Unless
Facts Are Useless…Unless.
Blogs, social media, and emails are full of facts (including this one), but ultimately, they are useless unless you do something with them.
Daily, Capitalize tries to educate on marketing and leadership principles. Some of that wisdom we’ve gleaned from others, and some we’ve gleaned from our experience. Our goal is to educate, inform, and create change.
And like you, we are bombarded with helpful marketing and leadership information every day. But none of it matters unless we put that information into practice.
We understand the overwhelming nature of information. I promise you we do. So, here are the choices we have to make each day, and perhaps they will be a help to you. With new information, we have to…
Store the information away for future implementation.
Make changes with our schedule and company structure.
Contract someone to implement or help implement the changes.
If you don’t do these things, the unused data creates anxiety, a fear of missing out, and a sense of impending dread.
So, should you stop taking in new information? Of course not! Instead…
Be selective about what data you are taking in. Be honest, some data is nearly useless.
Be strategic about work-related content. Make sure it applies to your field.
Create a plan with each new fact. Store it, make changes, or contract out.
But no matter what, being a continual learner is necessary. If you aren’t growing, you are dying. This is true for your business as well.
Making these changes has instilled a great sense of peace and progress for us.
If Capitalize can help you in any way, please let us know.
