Does Anyone Even Watch the Game?

The Super Bowl is this week!

No matter who is playing, the Super Bowl is the largest watched show of the year.  No other shows come anywhere close.

Of course, who is playing is part of the attraction, but to some extent, it doesn’t matter.  It’s not like there are a lot of Bengal fans out there compared to the other franchises.

No, what makes the Super Bowl such a TV draw are the commercials and the half-time show.

How do we know this?  Because viewership drastically drops after half-time.  The world turns in for the first half and the show, and then, football fans hang in there for the second half.

What’s the lesson?

The lesson is that entertainment trumps, even sports.  Boring is an attention killer.

No matter what your product or service is, present it in an entertaining fashion.  Your audience might just miss you otherwise.

If you would like creative, affordable, and NOT boring marketing help, Capitalize would love to help!
